A critical component of this role includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, building strong relationships across departments, and leveraging Workday to manage leave workflows, reporting, and data integrity. This position requires a high level of discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex leave scenarios while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Benefits LOA Coordinator III Duties Administer company, state, and federal leave programs (e.g., FMLA, ADA, state paid leave, personal leave). Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local leave regulations, including timely documentation and reporting. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving leave laws and regulations, including state-specific paid leave mandates. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the leave cycle to ensure a positive and informed Team Member experience. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to Team Members, managers, and HR leaders regarding leave policies, eligibility, and procedures. Consult with Team Members prior to leave regarding policy details, paid time off usage, disability benefits, and return-to-work expectations. Coordinate return-to-work processes, including accommodation discussions, in collaboration with HR and management. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, department managers, and external vendors. Partner with internal departments (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, Legal) to ensure accurate and timely leave administration. Utilize Workday to initiate, track, and manage leave cases with accuracy and timeliness. Ensure all leave-related transactions are processed correctly in Workday, including leave start/end dates, pay adjustments, and benefit changes. Monitor system workflows and resolve errors or discrepancies in coordination with HRIS and Payroll teams. Generate reports and dashboards to track leave trends, compliance metrics, and case resolution timelines. Assist Team Members with filing short-term and long-term disability claims; ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation. Liaison with third-party insurance vendors to monitor claim progress and resolve issues. Respond to inquiries from Team Members and family members regarding disability and life insurance benefits. File life insurance claims promptly and provide compassionate support to beneficiaries throughout the process. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to disability and life insurance claims.
