About 8THIRTYFOUR
8THIRTYFOUR is a communications learning company. We design and deliver integrated learning programs — including Skills Survival School and Big Deal EnergyTM — that help organizations develop their people through frameworks like QUIRKSTM and Big Deal EnergyTM.
About the Role
We're hiring an LMS Administrator and Instructional Designer to own the technical and instructional side of our learning programs. This role administers our LearnDash platform on WordPress and develops the e-learning courses that run on it. You'll work directly with our internal team and subject matter experts.
This role brings in-house the work currently handled by a contractor, so the right candidate is someone who can step into an existing system, understand it quickly, and improve it over time.
What You'll Do
Learning Management System Administration
- Administer our LearnDash environment on WordPress, including course shells, LearnDash Groups, drip schedules, and certificates.
- Maintain integrations between LearnDash, WordPress (Elementor), ThriveCart, and connected tools such as email and CRM platforms.
- Upload and organize course content across programs and cohorts.
- Manage users, enrollments, and group assignments.
- Monitor reports on user engagement and course completion, and surface insights to the team.
- Set up and maintain automated emails tied to enrollment, progress, and completion.
- Troubleshoot issues related to course access, content delivery, and platform functionality.
- Document standard operating procedures so the system is maintainable and transferable.
Course Development and Delivery
- Develop e-learning courses end to end, including managing on-time delivery and consolidating feedback from stakeholders.
- Review and edit storyboards and scripts.
- Author content in Articulate Storyline, generate AI voiceover, time animations, and produce closed captions.
- Engage and guide subject matter experts as they develop or reimagine content for e-learning.
- Conduct quality assurance by testing courses across devices and reviewing content for clarity, accuracy, and instructional quality.
- Launch course web pages, provide content, and enable direct editing for collaborators.
Required
- 5 years of experience administering a learning management system, with meaningful hands-on time in LearnDash specifically.
- Experience with WordPress, including how LearnDash integrates with page builders such as Elementor and with checkout platforms such as ThriveCart.
- Proficiency in Articulate Storyline and comfort with other course authoring tools.
- Experience designing e-learning courses.
- Strong writing skills and an editorial eye for clarity, accuracy, and instructional quality.
- The ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple projects on deadline.
- Familiarity with HubSpot.
- Background in webinar platforms, video editing, or graphic design tools.
How You'll Work
- This is a full-time, fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States.
- You'll collaborate with our internal team and outside contractors as needed.
- Standard business hours are preferred, with flexibility for the right candidate.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
