Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Viewpoint Spectrum (One Spectrum) System Administrator / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to step into a critical gap and take full ownership of the Spectrum environment. This role is essential to stabilizing current workflows, supporting the Controller, and ensuring the system operates efficiently across accounting and operational functions.
This is not a light-user or functional-only position—we need a hands-on expert who has owned Spectrum end-to-end and can immediately act as the organization’s primary authority on the platform. You will partner closely with Accounting, Operations, and IT leadership—including a newly hired VP of IT—to ensure continuity, performance, and long-term scalability of the system.

Key Responsibilities Of The Viewpoint Spectrum System Administrator
- Serve as the primary owner of the Viewpoint Spectrum system, including administration, support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Stabilize and manage high-volume workflows across multiple Spectrum modules
- Diagnose and resolve cross-module transaction issues, including failures, delays, or inconsistencies in data flow
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
- Draws
- Posting processes
- General Ledger discrepancies (e.g., transactions posting but not hitting GL)
- Maintain and optimize end-to-end processes across Job Cost, Billing, and General Ledger
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation gaps and workflow inconsistencies
- Ensure accurate job setup and overall system data integrity
- Identify root causes of system and process issues and implement scalable, long-term solutions
- Act as a trusted Spectrum advisor to Accounting, Operations, and IT stakeholders
- Provide guidance on best practices, system capabilities, and workflow optimization within One Spectrum
- Deep, hands-on experience with Viewpoint Spectrum (One Spectrum)
- Proven track record of owning the system end-to-end, not just using it
- Strong understanding of transaction flow across Spectrum modules
- Expertise in:
- Job Cost
- Billing
- General Ledger
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cross-functional system issues
- Experience in the construction industry
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
Salary : $124,000 - $166,000
