Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients
- Assess and diagnose patient conditions promptly and accurately
- Perform life-saving procedures and interventions as needed
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and policies
- Stay updated on the latest developments in emergency medicine practices
Requirements
- Active MD or DO license in Emergency Medicine
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in an emergency setting
- Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 8-hour day and night shifts
Annual Volume: 25,000 patients
Support Staff: Overlapping MDs, APPs
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
ACLS, BLS and DEA required
