Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Ob/Gyn

This contract position requires on-site service and offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality healthcare to our community.

In this role, the Locum MD will be responsible for delivering comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, working collaboratively with our health professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care are maintained. Your expertise will directly contribute to the health and well-being of our patients while helping maintain the continuity of care during staffing transitions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care for patients
• Perform routine exams and screenings, prenatal care, and deliveries
• Consult with medical staff and provide guidance on patient care
• Document patient history and maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in patient education and community outreach programs
• Ensure adherence to all medical regulations and protocols
• Respond to emergencies and provide urgent care as needed
• Maintain a supportive and caring environment for patients and their families

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Ob/Gyn preferred
• Valid medical license to practice in Manning
• Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in Ob/Gyn
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and patient needs
• Schedule: 2-3 days per week, with one-week call rotations

Shift Information: 8:30a-5p or 8:30a-12p

Beeper Call: 12 or 24-hour coverage

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Daily Patient Volume: 20-30 in clinic

Average Delivery Volume: 4 births per week

Duties: Perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections

Circumcisions not required

Must be comfortable working independently

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

CSR and DEA required
