Responsibilities: Job Summary The Category Administrator develops and implements a comprehensive category management strategy across their entire portfolio and will design and streamline the contract review and approval process for supplies, equipment, and services at the necessary quality for the most cost effective solutions. This position includes project management, requirements gathering, contract term and data analysis, contract template development, supplier negotiations, implementation, contract compliance, contract execution, and supplier performance management. Partners with Finance, Legal, and other necessary departments to facilitate change and deliver results. Contributes to the development and maintenance of a contract bid calendar. Understands the Group Purchasing Organization agreements and opportunities to maximize financial return to HonorHealth. Essential Functions Effectively manages, facilitates and negotiates with all involved parties, i.e., leadership, Legal and Compliance offices; manufacturers, distributors, vendors, etc., to ensure mutual understanding of contract requirements, quality services/supplies/equipment at the least ‘Total Cost’. Manage projects through execution and implementation within the network. Continuously reviews contracts for Network-wide standardization and consolidation opportunities ensuring that every opportunity to leverage the systems economies of scale are utilized to reduce associated procurement and processing expenses. Works closely with current Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) to insure maximization of GPO contracts and opportunities. Provide the necessary information and support to internal business partners in Supply Chain and HonorHealth such as: Value Analysis Team involvement, System-wide committees and business partners. Group Purchasing Organization activities, System-wide opportunities for cost avoidance, All contracting activities for supplies, equipment and services. Reports which provide analytical data for monitoring of all contract activity. Provides the Supply Chain Leadership with periodic updates on contracting activities i.e., pending contract reviews, negotiations, awards and future contracting areas and strategies. Supervises and mentors contract analysts/coordinators. Writes and implements appropriate policies and procedures related to contracting authority, contract development, negotiation, signatory authority, implementation, tracking and performance monitoring. Communicates and educates management and executive staff in the appropriate methods of contract review and renewal. Particularly as it involves confidential data and strategies for vendor discussions Education Bachelor's Degree in business or related field - Required Experience 5 years contracting experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing - Required Licenses and Certifications We're all in for your career.
