Developer Advocate

We are searching for a Developer Advocate for our frontier AI model lab client. In this position, you will help define the company's voice within the developer community, own the developer experience across its documentation and APIs, and create the programs and technical content that drive trust, visibility, and adoption. If you are equally comfortable working with code, speaking to a technical audience, and turning developer feedback into product improvements, we'd love to hear from you.

As Developer Advocate, you will:

• Help define the company's voice within the developer community and grow developer awareness, trust, and adoption
• Represent the organization and its vision for composable AI through talks, demonstrations, community participation, and partnerships
• Own the developer experience across documentation, quickstarts, SDKs, and API references
• Create technical demonstrations, tutorials, cookbooks, documentation, and other resources that help developers evaluate and adopt the platform
• Build feedback loops with the developer community and advocate internally for developer needs
• Conduct usability testing and synthesize developer feedback into actionable product insights
• Design and manage developer programs such as early access initiatives, beta programs, red-teaming, and bug bounties
• Plan and execute webinars, meetups, hackathons, conference talks, and technical workshops
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, operations, and company leadership

Who we're searching for / About you:

• 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer Advocate, Developer Relations Engineer, or in a similarly technical developer-facing role
• Strong understanding of LLMs, the broader AI market, and the needs of developers building with AI systems
• Familiarity with major developer ecosystems, APIs, SDKs, and modern software development workflows
• Enough technical depth to build credible demonstrations, tutorials, and developer resources
• Deep developer empathy and an ability to listen, synthesize feedback, and advocate for users
• Experience conducting developer research or usability testing
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Comfortable presenting technical concepts through conference talks, workshops, webinars, and live demonstrations
• Motivated by helping advanced AI technology create practical, real-world impact
• An established reputation or active presence within the developer community is a strong plus
• Willingness to work fully in person with a small, highly collaborative team

Logistics:

• Full-time, direct-hire position
• Fully in person in San Francisco near Embarcadero Station
• Base salary of $180,000-$280,000 plus equity, depending on experience and leveling
• Visa sponsorship available
