4 Corner Resources is seeking a Systems Administrator (Hybrid) to support and maintain a dynamic IT environment consisting of both on-premises and cloud-based systems. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on systems administration experience who enjoys maintaining stable, secure, and efficient infrastructure while supporting end users and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will play a key role in day-to-day system operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring overall system health and performance.
Systems Administrator Responsibilities:- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including configuration, patching, and monitoring
- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and Group Policies
- Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, and collaboration tools
- Maintain core IT services such as file, print, email, and authentication systems
- Monitor system performance and respond to alerts and service tickets in a timely manner
- Support virtualization platforms (Hyper-V and/or VMware), including basic VM administration
- Assist with Azure cloud administration and support existing cloud resources
- Perform server hardware maintenance, firmware updates, and coordinate vendor support
- Monitor and verify backup operations to ensure data protection and recoverability
- Execute restoration procedures when needed following documented processes
- Apply system updates, patches, and security fixes across servers and endpoints
- Support endpoint management tools and escalate security concerns when necessary
- Troubleshoot system issues and resolve incidents using a ticketing system
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and incident resolutions
- Collaborate with IT teams, security staff, and vendors to support infrastructure needs
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical systems outside of business hours
- Experience administering Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019) environments
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, including GPO, DNS, and DHCP
- Familiarity with hybrid environments and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Experience supporting virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Experience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS) and backup/recovery operations
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as Intune or similar
- Basic PowerShell scripting experience for administrative tasks
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on deliverables
- Location: Hybrid (onsite and remote flexibility)
- Pay rate: Starting at $45 hrly but negotiable based on experience.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours
- On-call: Participation in rotating on-call schedule required
