Job Title: Project Manager
Location: York, PA
Salary / Pay Range: $112,000 annually plus bonus
Employment Type: Full-Time
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to provide overall project leadership through the complete project life cycle. This role will support complex hydropower projects, manage customer and internal stakeholder communication, oversee project profitability, and ensure projects are completed in alignment with contract requirements, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects involving electromechanical equipment for large hydropower plants
- Manage projects through all phases, including engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, transportation, field service, installation, commissioning, and closeout
- Ensure contract-compliant project execution, including review of bids, contracts, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements
- Provide functional leadership and coordination across interdisciplinary project teams
- Develop customer relationships and support sales and account management efforts
- Manage change orders, claims, risks, opportunities, and project-related issues
- Own project profitability from handoff through completion, including budgets, forecasting, and financial tracking
- Lead the development, monitoring, and control of project schedules
- Maintain ownership of project documentation
- Support process improvement, standardization, and short- and long-term company objectives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Controls, Chemical, or Civil, or an Associate’s degree in a related field with relevant work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydropower or a supporting industry
- Working knowledge of SAP, ECTR, and Primavera systems
- Knowledge of heavy manufacturing processes, including casting, forging, welding, machining, and assembly
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read mechanical drawings and bills of materials
- Experience with project scheduling and project cost control
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs., and tasks related to an industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large electromechanical, hydro, power generation, or heavy industrial projects
- Background supporting project profitability, customer communication, change management, and claim management
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, and field service
