The Site Superintendent is responsible for daily on-site coordination of 7MW solar photovoltaic construction project, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and timelines. This role leads field operations, oversees subcontractors and crews, manages project documentation via Procore, and ensures a strong culture of safety and accountability on-site.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily construction activities on a solar PV sites (ground mount installation)
• Lead daily Plan of the Day (POD) meetings
• Coordinate union labor crews, subcontractors, and vendors on site
• Monitor site safety and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols
• Track daily work progress and update project status using Procore software
• Troubleshoot field challenges and escalate as necessary to project management
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of site activities, material deliveries, and labor hours
• Review blueprints and project plans to ensure work is performed to spec
• Facilitate clear communication between the field and project leadership
• Conduct quality control inspections
• This position requires frequent overnight travel to project sites, with work assignments typically lasting a week or longer based on project need.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of solar construction experience as a Superintendent
• Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management platforms
• Strong knowledge of solar construction methods and safety requirements
• Ability to lead and communicate with field crews and subcontractors
