What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer – Construction position at 360X Staffing?
We are seeking Project Engineers to support utility-scale solar PV, substations, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This role works closely with engineering, construction, and project teams to coordinate design, support field execution, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project coordination, documentation, and field activities across disciplines
- Track schedules, progress, and materials; identify and escalate issues
- Review and coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, and SCADA designs
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting
- Facilitate communication between internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Support problem-solving, process improvements, and lessons learned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (EIT required; PE preferred)
- 1–7 years of project engineering or project management experience (renewables preferred)
- Familiarity with solar, substations, or BESS projects is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents

- Field-based role with travel and remote project work required
- Typical schedule: 6 days/week, 10-hour shifts
- Reports to Senior Manager, Engineering & Preconstruction
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
