Civil Engineer

Civil/Structural Engineering for high voltage structures in substation and switchyards.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Design of substation structures, foundations, civil grading of substation sites

· Meet submission & fabrication schedules

· Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

· Graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

· Must have successfully completed or be scheduled to complete the FE / EIT exam within the next nine (9) months.

· Knowledge of shallow and deep foundation calculations and theory

· Must have experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, STAAD Pro, LPile, and RISA Foot.

· Experience preparing and reviewing storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) preferred

· Site layout, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control experience preferred

· Knowledge of preparing hydrology and hydraulic calculations

· Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.

· Must have excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving

· Must be able to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision

· Must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, schedule-driven department
