We are seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to lead civil and structural design efforts for high-voltage substations and switchyards. This role oversees engineering teams, project execution, and operational performance while supporting strategic business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of engineers and designers
- Manage daily operations, resource planning, and workload distribution
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple projects
- Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and all applicable codes and standards
- Support proposals, client relationships, and change order negotiations
- Monitor budgets, KPIs, and overall operational performance
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering
- PE license required
- 10–15 years of experience, including 5 years in leadership
- Strong background in substation/switchyard and utility infrastructure design
- Proven ability to manage teams and multiple projects
Skills
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools
- Knowledge of grading, foundations, and structural systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Additional Requirements
- Onsite in Alexandria, LA (relocation assistance available)
- Up to 25% travel
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
