We're seeking a Control Center Lead to support the Real-Time Operations team responsible for monitoring and controlling 10 GW of utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS assets. This leadership role provides technical guidance to Operations Specialists while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient 24/7 operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support on-shift Operations Specialists during daily operations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot real-time performance of wind, solar, and BESS facilities.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review operator logs for accuracy and compliance.
- Support commissioning of new renewable energy projects.
- Train, mentor, and onboard new Operations Specialists.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and quality standards.
- Perform testing of SCADA/RPMC tools and support RFIs and data requests.
- Promote operational excellence, safety, and best practices.
Qualifications
- 5 years of power plant or utility operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- NERC Reliability Coordinator Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Experience with SCADA or electrical system operations.
- Knowledge of NERC and ISO/RTO regulations (ERCOT, WECC, CAISO, PJM, SPP).
- Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and provide on-call support as needed.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
