We have an immediate opportunity for an RFP Proposal Reviewer. The goal of this role is to challenge the package, responses, documentation, language, etc. as if in the client seat. This position is part-time, approximately 20 hours a week. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAbility to evaluate draft packages to ensure accuracy, compliance, clarity, and alignment with federal, state, or local procurement standards.This individual will act as an independent reviewer, participating in cross‐functional evaluation teams, and providing written recommendations that strengthen the quality and fairness of solicitations.Expert knowledge with compliance requirements.Prepare structured feedback, redlines, and recommendations to improve clarity, reduce ambiguity, and strengthen the solicitation’s alignment with mission needs.Collaborate with cross‐functional teams (legal, technical, financial) to discuss findings and reach consensus on revisions or scoring approaches.Previous experience with evaluating proposals as part of a grant contract review panel, apply published evaluation criteria to score submissions and provide narrative justification for scores.Confirm that all attachments, forms, and instructions are consistent and properly referenced across the RFP package.Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to procurement templates, workflows, or review procedures.Maintain confidentiality and integrity: Handle sensitive procurement information in accordance with government ethics and security requirements. Desired Skills & QualificationsStrong analytical skills: Ability to interpret complex procurement regulations and technical requirements.Excellent writing and editing: Skilled in producing clear, concise, and actionable feedback for government stakeholders.Knowledge of government procurement: Familiarity with federal, state/local procurement rules.Attention to detail: Ability to identify inconsistencies, gaps, or compliance risks in large document sets.Cross‐functional collaboration: Experience working with legal, technical, and program teams to refine solicitations.Document review experience: Background in reviewing contracts, grants, or technical proposals is highly valued.Process improvement mindset: Ability to streamline review workflows and enhance document quality. Typical BackgroundBachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Law, Engineering, or related field.Experience in government contracting, proposal development, grants management, or procurement oversight.Familiarity with evaluation panels for grants or contracts (e.g., HRSA‐style review processes).
