Procurement Specialist

We have an immediate opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in the Ontario area.  This position requires working two or more days in the office.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Experience maintaining moderately complex purchase orders and change orders
• Execute purchase orders, change orders, and request for proposals
• Develop and maintain Outline Agreements, Source Lists, and monitor PO Automation for multiple categories
• Assist in executing purchasing and sourcing strategies, addressing short-term and long-term material requirements
• Ability to support senior level Procurement team members with project management activities and develop strategies and plans
• Participate in the negotiation process to achieve best value and commercial terms and conditions of moderately complex purchase orders, change orders, requests for proposals, contracts and agreements
• Excellent communication as you will be required to engage with multiple managers and leaders
• Aids in training peers and other stakeholders on the procurement process
• Following and developing mitigation plans for risks and monitoring to the completion of the job which will also require participation in risk assessments with suppliers
• Experience with maintaining and conducting supplier performance reviews

Required Skills:

• Four-year degree desired or equivalent based on demonstrated experience
• Experience using Ariba and SAP software in purchasing environment in addition to ECC for materials management desired
• One to three years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and suppliers and gather client requirements and negotiate their support requirements
• Proficient with MS Office Suite to include Excel
• Maintain confidentiality
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
