Role Description:

The Drilling Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Davidsonville, MD, responsible for overseeing and performing day-to-day water well/geothermal drilling operations and crew activities. This role includes planning and coordinating drilling jobs, directing crew members, monitoring safety procedures, and ensuring that work meets quality and regulatory standards. The Drilling Foreman operates and oversees heavy drilling equipment and related machinery, troubleshoots technical issues, and manages basic maintenance and repairs on-site. Daily tasks also involve reading site plans, organizing materials, communicating clearly with customers and team members, and documenting job progress and site conditions.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills to lead crews, delegate tasks, and maintain safe, efficient work sites.
• Candidates should possess experience with heavy equipment operation and basic equipment maintenance relevant to drilling and construction environments.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, contractors, and customers.
• Candidates should possess practical skills in mechanical repairs and site construction support for well installation and related structures.
• Previous experience in drilling, construction, or related trades is highly beneficial, including familiarity with safety regulations and field documentation.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions and to travel to job sites as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL or experience hauling equipment is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in drilling, heavy equipment operation, or construction are an advantage.

Requirements added by the job poster

• Licensed Water Well Driller in Maryland. Other states a plus.
• 5 years of work experience with Drilling Machinery, i.e. Versa and Schramm Drill Rigs. Air and Mud Rotary Drilling a plus.
• 5 years of Construction experience. Commercial Site experience a plus.
• Conversational in English
• Conversational in Spanish
• Legally able to work in the US
• Valid driving license, CDL a plus.

Pay: $32.83 - $65.00 per hour
