Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, and farm equipment. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, cranes, and tractors.
- Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues in diesel engines and other machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and repair status.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while performing duties in the shop or field.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or in a similar role is required.
- Dealership experience is a plus, particularly with Caterpillar or other major brands.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment is essential.
- Experience with welding, soldering, and assembly tasks will be beneficial.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices including brake repair, alignment, hydraulics, tire service, and diesel engine repair is required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely as part of the job responsibilities.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
