Role Description
The Group Service Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role located in Framingham, MA. This position is responsible for supporting residents by coordinating programs and activities, fostering a sense of community, and connecting individuals to the services they need. This role includes assisting with event planning, facilitating group activities, maintaining records of resident engagement, and collaborating with other staff to enhance the quality of life for community members. Additionally, the Group Service Coordinator acts as a key liaison to support residents in accessing social services and resources.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in program planning, coordination, and event management
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse individuals and groups
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, including record-keeping and scheduling
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting older adults and their needs
- Familiarity with social services, resources, or senior community programming is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Human Services, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and comfort with technology
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous but not required
