Reporting to our Controller, our Accounting Manager leads our accounting and finance team, oversee daily operations, and ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. This leadership role is responsible for managing the general ledger, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and process improvements. This role provides a strong accounting foundation, leadership, and a proactive mindset to drive accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and support members of the accounting/finance team.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee general ledger accounting activities and reconcile key balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Execute and improve month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in developing and maintaining annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Maintain documentation to support compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
- Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Use ERP software (NetSuite preferred) for transaction processing, reporting, and financial data analysis.
- Monitor financial procedures and recommend and implement process improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide ad hoc financial reporting and support for special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience with general ledger management, budgeting, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate across departments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
