Job Description
26North is recruiting a Vice President, Product Management – Private Credit to join our Business Development team in New York in a role that combines product expertise, client engagement, and strategic execution. You will serve as a subject matter expert on the firm’s direct lending and private credit strategies, acting as a bridge between the investment team and investors.
Responsibilities
Product Management & Positioning
- Lead product management initiatives for direct lending, including market research, content creation, and competitive positioning across the firm’s private credit strategies and vehicles (BDCs, CLOs, SMAs, and rated notes)
- Partner with investment leadership to refine product structures and ensure alignment with client needs
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the private credit landscape, including competitive dynamics, product trends, and market conditions
Client Engagement & Fundraising Support
- Lead the creation of fundraising and marketing materials, including pitchbooks, DDQs, and RFPs
- Provide commercial insights to support fundraising efforts, sales initiatives, and strategic account planning
- Serve as a knowledgeable representative of the firm’s direct lending capabilities in investor interactions
Content, Data & Collaboration
- Develop thought leadership pieces, market commentary, and external communications to strengthen the firm’s brand
- Maintain and improve data management systems for diligence trackers, investor pipelines, and content libraries
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of new products
Qualifications
Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in private credit, direct lending, commercial real estate credit, asset-backed finance, alternatives product strategy, investor relations, or capital raising
- Strong knowledge of private credit and credit-oriented vehicles, including BDCs, CLOs, SMAs, and rated notes
- Proven ability to support successful institutional fundraising initiatives

- Exceptional analytical and research skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to institutional investors
- Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions, with strong attention to detail and project-management skills

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field required; MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced credential a plus

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $175,000.00 and $225,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion.
