Cake Decorators are skilled professionals who use their artistic abilities and pastry-making skills
to craft delightful cakes, pastries, and other baked goods..They work closely with clients to meet
their design specifications and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Taking cake, cookie,
pastry, and other baked goods orders in person and over the phone gathering all details
needed. We are searching for a skilled, creative cake decorator who will strive to provide
excellent baked items and service in an efficient, professional manner..The candidate should be
skilled in creating and crafting buttercream designs including flowers and balloons, and applying
various frosting techniques.
Responsibilities
● Decorate cakes and pastries using different types of icings, toppings etc.
● Ensure compliance with health and food safety standards.
● Coordinate with clients to discuss their requirements and design cake to their
satisfaction.
● Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen in accordance with health and safety
regulations
● Ensure display areas are fully stocked throughout shifts.
● Monitor the stock of baking ingredients and stock..
● .Prepare icings and other decorating ingredients
● Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques including piping, painting, and
edible decoration
● Ensure all baking and decorating tools and equipment are in good working order
● Package and deliver cakes and pastries in a way that prevents damage during transit
● Provide excellent customer service, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and
professionally
● Ensure all products are of high quality and ready for display.
● Cross training throughout the bakery to ensure team efficiency.
Qualifications
● Proven experience as a Cake Decorator. Portfolio preferred.
● Proficiency with piping techniques.
● Knowledge of sanitation principles, health regulations and industrial baking processes.
● Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
● Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
● Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude.
● Flexibility to work in early morning shifts, during weekends and holidays.
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
