About The Role
nVent Management Company is establishing a new Technical Marketing Content Writer role to enhance our B2B marketing efforts in the technical space. This position will be instrumental in creating high-quality, engaging content that clearly communicates complex technical concepts to diverse audiences across the customer journey. The ideal candidate will bring at least5 years of experience in technical writing within the B2B marketing arena, with a strong ability to translate engineering details into compelling marketing materials.
Key Responsibilities
This is a full-time freelance role requiring approximately 40 hours per week. Core working hours are typically from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM CST with occasional early morning calls (as early as7:00 AM CST) to accommodate international team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop a wide variety of content including technical whitepapers, case studies, e-books, blog posts, and user guides that effectively showcase our product offerings.
- Product Documentation Support: Collaborate closely with product managers to produce accurate and impactful brochures, spec sheets, sell sheets, and flyers.
- Customer-Facing Content Accuracy: Partner with product management to ensure all customer communications—social media posts, email campaigns, and other marketing collateral—are technically accurate and relevant.
- Customer Journey Tailoring: Craft targeted content for different stages of the customer journey, addressing varied audiences such as contractors, colocation providers, hyperscalers, end users, and integrators. Examples include campaigns like “Rack and Roll.”
- Simplify Complex Concepts: Translate complex technical jargon into clear, punchy marketing language that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders including investors and sales teams.
- Research & Collaboration: Conduct interviews with engineering teams, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather insights on industry trends, competitor positioning, and product rationale to inform content strategy.
- 5 years of experience in B2B marketing with a strong technical writing background
- Experience or familiarity with data center technologies is a significant plus
- SEO content optimization skills preferred
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse technical marketing content is required
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid or remote environment
- Adept at managing deadlines and producing high-quality work within a fast-paced setting
