Job Title: Senior Workday Advanced Compensation Consultant
Overview: Our organization is seeking a Senior Workday Advanced Compensation Consultant to support a critical short-term initiative focused on implementing compensation letters in Workday and testing the integration of the compensation cycle with Workday Payroll. This consultant will play a key role in configuring, testing, and helping deploy compensation statement functionality within an accelerated timeline.
Duration: 2-3 Weeks
Location: NYC (hybrid)
Rate: $50-70/hr (DOE)
Employment Type: W2 only
Project Background:
- The organization recently went live with Workday HCM in December 2025.
- Workday Payroll and Time Tracking went live in January 2026.
- The compensation cycle launched in February 2026 and is currently in the approval phase.
Position Summary: We are looking for a senior-level consultant with deep expertise in Workday
Advanced Compensation and hands-on experience configuring compensation letters using BIRT. The ideal candidate has led multiple advanced compensation cycles in Workday and understands the end-to-end process, including downstream integration with Workday Payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure Workday compensation letters and statements using client-provided templates.
- Test all compensation statement configurations to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Support closure of the compensation cycle in the test environment.
- Validate that new compensation amounts flow correctly into Workday Payroll.
- Test retroactive pay calculations and bonus payout processing.
- Identify and resolve issues related to compensation configuration and payroll integration.
- Help drive the project through configuration, testing, and deployment within a 2–3 week timeframe.
Required Qualifications:
- Senior-level Workday consulting experience.
- Strong expertise in Workday Advanced Compensation.
- Hands-on experience configuring compensation letters and statements using BIRT.
- Experience supporting multiple Workday compensation cycles end to end.
- Strong understanding of compensation processes, statement generation, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Payroll experience strongly preferred.
- Experience testing payroll integration, including retroactive calculations and bonus payouts.
- Experience supporting multinational payroll environments, particularly in the USA and Canada.
