Title: Content Strategist
We are seeking an experienced Content Strategist at the senior level to support large, complex digital transformation initiatives. This role is centered on building scalable, user-focused content systems across digital experiences and platforms. This is a strategic position rather than a copywriting role. (this is not a copy role)
Location: NYC (2 days in office, 3 remote)
Rate $55-65/hr
Duration: 4-6 months (possibility for extension)
- Develop content strategies aligned with user needs and business objectives
- Create content frameworks, information architecture, and page structures
- Collaborate with UX, product, design, data, and technology teams
- Support content operations, governance, and workflow improvements
- Conduct content audits, inventories, and gap analysis
- Work with SEO/AEO partners to strengthen discoverability in search and AI-driven environments
- Help shape structured content, templates, and content models within CMS platforms, especially AEM
Core requirements:
- 7 years of experience in content strategy, UX content, or digital experience strategy
- Experience supporting complex websites or enterprise digital ecosystems
- Knowledge of content operations, governance, and scalable content systems
- Working understanding of SEO/AEO and AI-influenced content discovery
- Experience with CMS platforms; AEM strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to present clear, practical recommendations
