Behavioral Health Coordinator/ Clinical Supervisor/ Case Manager

Duration: 8 Months (Possible Extension)
Job Summary:

• The Grants Project Specialist is responsible for overseeing compliance, monitoring, and implementation activities related to Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) across Rhode Island. This role conducts clinical reviews, audits, and compliance assessments of community behavioral health providers to ensure alignment with federal and state regulations, certification standards, and grant requirements.
• The ideal candidate will have prior clinical behavioral health experience, including treatment planning, clinical documentation, and evidence-based practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to collaborate with behavioral health agencies, state partners, and organizational leadership.
• This is an onsite position with office-based responsibilities and periodic site visits to various locations throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor compliance with federal and state CCBHC regulations and certification standards.
• Conduct clinical reviews, audits, and assessments of community behavioral health providers.
• Evaluate treatment planning, documentation practices, and evidence-based clinical processes.
• Oversee compliance and ongoing monitoring of newly established CCBHC programs.
• Coordinate implementation activities across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Ensure CCBHC program plans and activities meet funding requirements and organizational goals.
• Collaborate with state agencies, behavioral health providers, and community partners.
• Participate in meetings related to CCBHC implementation and program monitoring.
• Prepare status reports and provide updates to behavioral health leadership.
• Identify barriers, evaluate program effectiveness, and support proactive problem-solving.
• Guide organizations in meeting and exceeding CCBHC standards.
• Maintain awareness of behavioral health services and resources at local, state, and national levels.

Required Qualifications:

• Behavioral health clinical experience required.
• Experience with treatment planning, clinical documentation, and evidence-based practices.
• Experience working with behavioral health agencies and state programs.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health services and community resources.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• 5 years of behavioral health experience.
• Experience supporting compliance, audits, or quality improvement initiatives.
• Experience working with CCBHC programs or similar behavioral health certification models.
• Experience collaborating with government agencies and healthcare stakeholders.

Work Location:

• Onsite office position.
• Requires periodic travel/site visits to behavioral health locations throughout the year.
