What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at 1Source Talent Acquisition?
Controller (CFO Succession Track)
Are you a hands-on accounting leader ready to make a direct impact on a rapidly growing business?
We are a thriving $50M manufacturer in Naples, Florida, and we are on track to double in size. To support this explosive growth, we are investing heavily in new capital equipment to meet booming customer demand.
We are looking for a sharp, hands-on Controller to lead our day-to-day accounting operations. This isn't a role where you just sit behind a desk—you will actively shape our financial future, mentor a lean team, and step into a clear succession plan to become our next CFO.
If you thrive in a "People 1st" culture and love the dynamic world of manufacturing, this is the career-defining move you’ve been looking for.
What You’ll Do (The "Hands-On" Impact):
- Lead & Mentor: Oversee full-cycle month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance while guiding our dedicated AP and AR staff.
- Drive Financial Visibility: Manage weekly flash reporting, cash flow monitoring, bank covenant compliance (Borrowing Base Certificates), and budget vs. actual analysis.
- Operational Excellence: Own manufacturing cost accounting, inventory control, payroll administration, and fixed asset management within NetSuite.
- Strategic Support: Coordinate the annual audit, optimize internal controls, and collaborate directly with the CFO on special projects and system scaling.
What We Are Looking For:
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred.
- Experience: 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Senior Accounting role.
- Industry Expertise: Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory control is essential.
- Tech Savvy: Advanced MS Excel skills and hands-on proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a huge plus).
- Mindset: A true team player willing to be "hands-on" when needed, with the leadership presence to step into the CFO seat down the road.
