Job Summary This position will provide scheduling support for the acquisition planning, controlling and organizing for a myriad of Air and Missile Defense Systems. Specific duties include developing, organizing, analyzing and presenting a detailed Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using industry standard tools (e.g., MS Project and Milestone Professional) for complex weapons systems. Candidate will implement integrated master scheduling best practices and work with program/project managers and multiple Integrated Project Teams to capture and sequence efforts, assign resources to activities, establish duration of activities, verify schedule horizontal and vertical traceability, confirm critical path validity, conduct schedule risk analysis, update status and progress of projects, provide metrics, and maintain the schedule baseline. Brief the Program Manager and the management board on schedule performance, calculate metrics, identify critical paths, and provide recommendations. Roles and Responsibilities The successful candidate will interact with a multitude of entities to cross-pollinate IMS data and identify resource deficiencies/gaps. Additional duties include initiating and directing program plans using industry standard tools while providing project-coordinating expertise in support of complex activities supporting the US Warfighter, cross program initiatives, new business (proposals), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. Project coordinating efforts include participating in defining requirements, elaborating work tasks, identifying milestones and logic relationships creating “what-if/impact” scenarios within the schedule that inform program leadership. The candidate will perform (schedule) risk analysis, identify and present options to resolve critical path issues and network logic conflicts; develop detailed and overarching schedules; and participate in analyzing effects upon various areas such as Engineering, Risk Management, Test, and Program Management. Additional responsibilities include attendance at meetings, working groups, and conferences to support schedule development or analysis. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business administration. Five plus years’ experience developing schedules utilizing MS Project and Milestone Professional is required. Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Scheduling, Weapons System Acquisition, Foreign Military Sales and Program Management and familiarity with Department of Defense Instruction 5000.02. Experience with MS Project Server, knowledge of DCMA 14-point schedule assessment and Microsoft Office Master Certification is highly desirable.
