Reports to: President/Owner

Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time

Hourly: $22-$25 (40 hours per week)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Eighteen Threads, a leading custom apparel company, is seeking a Creative Coordinator who will play a key role in ensuring our clients have a seamless, positive, and creative experience from start to finish. This role blends creative leadership, hands-on design, and client collaboration to deliver exceptional, on-brand apparel solutions that inspire and connect with our customers.

As a key member of our team, the Creative Coordinator will oversee project design from concept to completion. This includes developing custom apparel online stores, managing brand consistency across client accounts, and ensuring each customer interaction reflects our commitment to quality and creativity. You will collaborate directly with clients to bring their ideas to life, guiding them through the design process while maintaining strong relationships built on trust, communication, and artistic vision.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee and maintain product merchandising for client accounts, including the strategic placement, presentation, and rotation of apparel to optimize sales and visual appeal across online platforms and in-store sales.
  • Actively monitor store performance and inventory levels, coordinating with internal teams to maintain stock and timely fulfillment.
  • Communicate proactively with clients to provide updates, resolve questions, and deliver exceptional service throughout the design and order process.
  • Collaborate closely with 18 Threads staff and customers to conceptualize and execute creative design projects from start to finish.
  • Assist with production operations as needed, including running printers and preparing final presentation materials for print or digital delivery.
  • Design and produce high-quality print and digital materials that align with 18 Threads’ brand standards and client expectations.
  • Retouch, manipulate, and prepare images to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for production.
  • Create logos, mock-ups, and apparel designs; collaborate with sales staff and clients to gather feedback and implement revisions.
  • Develop embroidery files, assist with color selections, and ensure all artwork meets production specifications.
  • Adhere to all project deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and organizational accuracy.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Printavo, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Excel, Typography, Color programs/applications.
  • Graphic design fundamentals are required.
  • Graphic Design graduate preferred, not required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong creative and analytical skills.
  • Portfolio of graphic design work.
  • At least five years of related experience preferred.

Physical Demands

This employee must be able to sit for several hours and be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

Work Environment

Warehouse/Production area. In-office position only. We are located at 1035 Sutton Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
