He/she demonstrates The University of Vermont Medical Center leadership philosophy, leads a staff and assists the department manager with human resources, including staff planning, team building, and performance management, while fostering excellent communication and teamwork. Reporting directly to the CSR Manager, the Supervisor provides consultation to and collaboration with staff to ensure the highest possible quality services / patient care, staff performance, operational effectiveness, systems/process improvement, department oversight and instruction. He/she maintains a high level of internal visibility and is responsible for training and development and ongoing supervision of the department staff. EDUCATION: High School diploma plus two or more years of college coursework in Supply Chain, Business or Operations Management, Personnel Management or related discipline required. IAHCSMM certifications as CRCST, CIS and CHL or equivalents required. Associate’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Five years of progressive experience in a large academic medical center. This position requires specialized knowledge in all aspects of CSR’s operations and services. Supervisory experience preferred.
