As the Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will excel in identifying, engaging, and acquiring new partnerships that drive meaningful value for 1-800Accountant. As the lead in developing new business, were looking for an energetic, natural-born networker who can enthuse potential partners, is dynamic, and has a passion for being our company ambassador and generating new business relationships. Youve demonstrated an ability to lead transformational deals by helping launch new partnerships, hitting monthly and quarterly goals, and have the capability to unlock new ways to scale business outcomes and deepen relationships. This role requires a relentless focus on outreach to identify new opportunities that build excitement and buy-in within 1-800Accountant and externally. Your goal will be to generate a pipeline of potential deals and acquire new partnerships that deliver revenue growth.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy, skilled relationship builder with a proven track record of hitting revenue goals by prospecting and closing new business. You possess a self-starting, creative, and resilient entrepreneurial spirit, driven to achieve results.
You are equally adept at building a complex financial model as you are at presenting your work to an executive audience or negotiating critical deal terms with a prospective partner. We are specifically looking for someone with experience building partnerships within the small to medium-sized business (SMB) ecosystem.
Finally, you are a strong collaborator who has worked closely with technical and business stakeholders to drive positive business outcomes.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to scale 1800Accountant across SMB and gig economy eco-systems.

Identify and secure new partnership opportunities that align with our growth objectives and customer value proposition.

Organize and execute a multi-faceted sales plan to effectively make direct contact with prospects.

Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on partnership opportunities and associated market dynamics.

Drive innovation in partnership models, exploring new integration and monetization strategies, along with customer engagement opportunities.

Represent the company externally, cultivating executive-level relationships with industry stakeholders.

Develop and manage a network of contacts in the small business space for future initiatives.

Help launch new partnerships, facilitate seamless transitions from deal-close to launch, and participate in initial onboarding vision and strategy for new partnerships.

Leverage successes and failures to develop repeatable frameworks
What We Look For

3 - 5 years of relevant experience in strategic partnerships or business development with a proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results

Demonstrated success in finalizing substantial deals exceeding three million dollars (this is a MUST have)

Experience presenting and communicating with C-suite and executive leadership at large organizations ($1B in annual revenue), including video presentations.

At least two years of demonstrated experience in sales or pitching with successful revenue outcomes (e.g., closing new clients, launching new initiatives with partners)

A track record of executing multiple high-value partnership deals, from origination through integration

Experience working with firms serving SMBs strongly preferred

Self-starter with the ability to originate, plan, and execute initiatives independently

Proven ability to negotiate and influence senior-level decision-makers

Data-driven orientation and ability to efficiently draw insights (and avoid analysis paralysis)

Ability to stay highly well-organized and drive projects effectively with lots of autonomy.

A strong intuition for interpersonal and organizational dynamics

Experience in and excitement about fintech or small business - SaaS a plus

Compensation:
Base $125K- $250K plus 1.5% bonus
