Responsibilities:

  • As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering arbitration and mediation cases and performing various administrative tasks.
  • As an effective communicator, you will maintain regular contact with party representatives, arbitrators and mediators through phone, email, and letter. In addition, you will maintain and update case files and documents in our online case management system (PRISM), ensuring the confidentiality of case information and records in accordance with our information security and data privacy policies.
  • You will have the opportunity to showcase your strong problem-solving skills by proactively identifying case management issues and taking appropriate action to resolve them. You will also assist in coordinating, initiating, and administering conference calls and video conferences.
  • You will apply correct case fee schedules, accurately calculate and allocate billings/cancellations based on fee schedules and contractual agreements, and explain fee calculations and billing processes to customers.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: Associates degree in business or related discipline; 2-4 years of relevant work experience (e.g., customer service, case administration, legal environment) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence and procedure manuals;
ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers, attorneys, arbitrators, mediators, and coworkers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to understand
and interpret statistical reports, financial/fee schedules, data charts and graphs.
Technology Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web-based case management systems.
