Our direct client has an opening for a Network Engineer 11037-1
This position is up to 12 months, with the option of extension, and is in Columbia, SC
•All required information including formulas, data, and mechanisms to check output
•Staff to assist with any application or data questions
•Conference rooms and scheduling for any application demos
•Workstation and required software
REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
1. WINDOWS SERVER AND RED HAT ENTERPRISE LINUX
2. GPO AND POWERSHELL
3. MICROSOFT ACTIVE DIRECTORY
4. CITRIX PLATFORM SERVER SYSTEMS
5. EXPERIENCE WITH BACKUP AND DR IN ENTERPRISE ENVIRONMENT
6. IT NETWORK, VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS, DATABASE, AND STORAGE
7. DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS OF THE IT INDUSTRY WHICH INCLUDES: MULTI-TIERED ARCHITECTURES, ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS, EVALUATION OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES, NETWORKS, DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND HARDWARE SYSTEMS
8. Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS
9. TECHNICAL WRITING
PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
1. Prefer experience with Microsoft HyperV
2. CITRIX Presentation Server or XenApp
3. Dell Compellent SAN Administration
4. Ability to establish positive working relationships with technical staff, customers and others involved in data-centric management
5. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
6. Knowledge of Information Technology Field, best practices, organization, and operations
7. Experience with SolarWinds
8. Ability to integrate technical systems with agency goals and objectives
9. Experience with ticketing systems
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work
