Yusen Logistics is Hiring a Loss Prevention-Safety Supervisor Near Sumner, WA

Overview:

Salary: $50,824.13 - $84,424.52

The Loss Prevention-Safety Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the development, coordination and implementation of security, environmental health and safety programs for Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. located in the state of Washington. This includes involvement with personnel, materials, equipment and environments needed to create a safe workplace and to minimize operational losses, accidents, injuries and theft.

Responsibilities:
    • Supervise contracted security personnel and ensure gate house personnel complying to Yusen security and safety standards.
    • Conduct all security-training, conduct security assessments, evaluations, investigations, and other security-related duties as requested.
    • Conduct facility inspections, yard checks, and perimeter protection is met at all campus facilities with appropriate follow up on after-action items.
    • Provide guidance to operations leadership and employees on how to protect property and equipment from theft and vandalism.
    • Provide input for developing security strategy and the continuous improvement process in relation to perimeter security, access control and facility security.
    • Stay current with new and evolving security-safety trends, information, and regulations and implement mitigation plan to prevent incidents for occurring.
    • Maintain Yusens CTPAT and TAPA compliance programs and provide training for full participation.
    • Manage random metal detection protocols and ensure that campuses are following Yusens Loss Prevention and Safety standards.
    • Maintain security technology daily to ensure full functionality.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and various safety documentation, files and records.
    • Provide training to safety specialists and warehouse personnel on selected topics.
    • Act as a liaison to vendors such as temporary labor providers, suppliers, and medical clinics to ensure all parties have common goals and are supporting the interests of the safety program
    • Identify workplace hazards (physical, chemical, biological)
    • Track injuries and root causes weekly, distribute reports.
    • Audit the following: Security/LP electronic audit EH&S Quality, Records, and Continuity.
    • Assist Safety in accident and injury investigations.
    • Assist Operations and Safety on DOT safety issues upon request.
    • Review investigative reports of workplace injuries, accidents, property damage, security and environmental events from open to close.
    • Present information to or respond to common inquiries, requests or complaints from employees or regulatory agenciesStrong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of basic medical terminology, legal requirements and other EH&S requirements.
    • Continuously improve job skills and technical knowledge through ongoing professional development opportunities such as seminars, conferences, online subscriptions, literature and regulatory publications.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business or related field of study preferred.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in security and safety
  • 1 years of supervisor experience preferred
  • Security technology knowledge, CCTV and Access Control preferred
  • Knowledge or basic criminal law preferred
  • OSHA Certified Training
  • Flexible schedule to support 24/7 operation
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10-20%
