Job Summary:

Are you a seasoned Machine Learning researcher with a deep passion for Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLM)? Do you thrive on tackling the most complex challenges in AI and possess a track record of groundbreaking research in these domains? If so, we invite you to join our cutting-edge team as a Senior Machine Learning Researcher.

As a Senior Machine Learning Researcher, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation in NLP, LLM and associated technologies at our company. You will collaborate with a team of top-tier researchers, ML engineers, and Solution architects to push the boundaries of language understanding, LLM development for improving reliability, safety and speed of the technology powering our platform for our users. Your work will directly impact our product portfolio and contribute to the evolution of the NLP/LLM field.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced Research: Perform research to tackle unsolved real-world problems and push the state of the art in natural language processing, large language modeling (and more broadly in generative AI) across multiple fronts (like, reliability, safety and speed) of LLM powered tech.
• Rapid Prototyping: Contribute to conducting experiments based on the research question. Develop rapid research prototypes or conduct simulations to further evaluate the impact of research, finalize hypotheses, and refine the research methodology under minimal guidance.
• Thought leadership: Author research papers, technical blogs to share and generate impact of research results across the team and in the research community.
  • Identify new and upcoming research areas by interacting with potential external and internal collaborators. Contribute to developing long-term research strategy and plans to expand the impact of Yurts research & platform with some guidance.
  • Collaborate with Applied ML Engineers and others in our product / platform team to address user requirements and craft features that enhance the user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in machine learning, NLP, and related technologies, both across the academia & industry, and proactively apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the company.
  • Help in growing research business across teams by sharing research trends and best practices within the community.

Minimum qualifications:

• PhD degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4 years of research experience in ML (post-academic training)
• Research experience in one or more of these areas: natural language processing, large language models, deep learning, or related fields.
• Experience working with machine learning libraries like Pytorch, Deepspeed, Ray, etc.
• Knowledge of large language models, deep learning, neural networks.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and shell scripts.

Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by publications at leading conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, ICASSP, INTERSPEECH, or similar. Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment

• Growth mindset with the ability to pick up new languages and technologies as required.
