The School Improvement Coach is responsible for providing direct and continuous support to YCCS campuses in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Campus/School Improvement Plans; works directly with principals and campus leadership teams to gather and analyze data, identify and prioritize student achievement goals, cultivate staff collaboration, build staff capacity, and evaluate student and school progress; informs a charter- wide framework for school improvement planning; contributes to the creation of charter focus areas and standards or practice; produces, disaggregates, and disseminates campus-level data on student performance; facilitates campus self-study and inventory of assets; provides protocols and strategies to support teacher collaboration and adult learning; establishes specific and measurable student and campus goals; creates school improvement action plans and implementation timeline; and; performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in education from an accredited institution
ISBE Professional Educator Licensure (PEL 1) with General Administrative endorsement preferred
5 years education administration experience required
5 years teaching experience
Comprehensive knowledge of education code and charter school law
Experience implementing current research related to school leadership and school improvement
