Position Title: Gymnastics Instructor

Position Type: Part-time, hours vary
Pay: $10.10 per hour

General Function
The Gymnastics Instructor will instruct the participants in beginner tumbling and basic gymnastic skills. Introduce gymnastics skills with an emphasis on large motor skill development, balance, and coordination. A developmentally appropriate program promotes strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, focus, and gross motor skills.
Qualifications
At least 18 years old with knowledge of instructing preschool tumbling and gymnastics. Instructor must possess the ability to work with children of all ages and abilities, along with parents. Gymnastics background preferred.
Job Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Instructor in Creating and implementing beginner gymnastics/tumbling lesson plans for various age level classes.
• Understand and model the YMCA philosophy.
• Supervise and positively encourage participants.
• Assist with maintenance of program equipment.
• Continually relate to YMCA members and the community in which the YMCA serves and help maintain a positive image.
• Help distribute necessary public relations, flyers, newsletters, brochures, etc., as it relates to YMCA Gymnastics Program at the Francis Family YMCA.
