Description Childcare Receptionist/Billing Specialist YMCA of Greater Dayton Fairborn, OH Part-Time/Non-Exempt $13.00-$15.60/Hour *This position requires a daytime in-office presence* Position Summary: Responsible for providing excellent front desk service to YMCA childcare program participants and parents. Assists in food preparation (lunch and snack)
Helps in ratio with the children as needed
Provides excellent front desk service to program participants, their families, staff members and other individuals.
Informs teachers and other staff pertinent information regarding families' schedules, billing issues, absences.
Provides excellent telephone service.
Conducts tours of the facility for prospective program participants and guests.
Remains accountable for all monetary transactions on shift and appropriate reconciliation of these transactions.
Maintains Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) paperwork and records.
Builds relationships with program participants and guests.
Performs routine copying and filing.
Is familiar with childcare information as outlined in the childcare and parent handbooks.
Proactively solves problems.
Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up.
Upholds guidelines as outlined in the Child Care and Employee Handbooks of the Association.
Possesses the ability and appropriate safe driving record to drive a vehicle, safely transporting up to 14 children.
Protects confidential information regarding program participants, families, and staff members.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess high school diploma or GED. A 2-year degree or applicable experience is preferred.
Six months or more of related customer service and clerical experience required.
