Job Title: Director of Housekeeping - Full Time Branch: Association OfficeLocation: West Chester, PA Shift: Full TimeSalary: $42,000 - $60,000 About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all. Purpose: The YGBW is seeking an experienced leader to take ownership of the housekeeping program and ensure our branches are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness. Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness and disinfecting standards for the Association. Manage and oversee all janitorial staff daily. Train staff on cleanliness standards, safety and PPE, and equipment use. Schedule shifts, assign duties, and frequently inspect work. Make recommendations of staffing levels and participate in hiring/departure process. Conduct and document periodic cleanliness audits; follow up on closure of action items. Evaluate and implement the most effective cleaning products and equipment for the task, and ensure all branches are using them once approved. Manage department costs within budget. Identify, schedule and participate in special cleaning projects. Promptly address member complaints and housekeeping Work Orders. Fill in and perform cleaning duties in case of staff absence/shortage.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Must possess valid driver’s license and have good driving record. Must have minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role for commercial multi-site or school campus setting. Hands-on experience with commercial cleaning equipment and products. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
