WRIGHT PLASTIC PRODUCTS CO, LLC is Hiring a Team Leader Near Saint Clair, MI
Summary of Position Responsibilities:
The Second Shift Team Leader is responsible for Scheduling of Operators, ensuring the shift is fully staffed with operators. The Inspection Coordinator is also responsible for overseeing the training of new Operators to the standards required and expected of a regular full-time Wright Plastic Products employee. Ensure that employees are adhering to standards by auditing manufacturing processes throughout the shift. Make labels for presses, perform press operations, visual inspections, and gauging/testing (as instructed). Will perform all quality assurance functions as indicated in the process manual. Will participate in the continuous improvement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direction and supervision for all direct labor operators
Schedule Operators
Schedule and assist with breaks
Ensure proper labeling and packaging
Training and Performance of operators
Performance Reviews
Staffing of Operators
Coordinate Operator’s scheduled PTO time and act when unscheduled absences occur
Coordinate when to initiate mold changes
Inspection Corrective Actions / 8D’s and Customer Complaints
Layered Process Audits
Develop Action Plans to meet KPI’s
Coordinate and oversee Housekeeping activities
Key Performance Measures:
Labor Variance and Labor utilization related to rework, audit and containment of defective parts
Customer Complaints
Corrective Actions on Time
Completion of training paperwork for new employees
Performance Reviews on Time
Completed Layer Process Audits
Minimum Qualifications:
Full-time Wright Plastic Products employee
Prior manufacturing experience, preferably in plastics environment
Ability to meet the physical demands as stated
Good attitude, attendance and performance history
