As an Site Training Compliance, Learning and Development Manager, you will oversee site compliance to local and global training requirements for an end to end biopharmaceutical manufacturing site, and to lead the execution and continuous improvement of training and capability building programs.The four key focus areas are technical training (make/test/ship), compliance, leadership, and business skills.The scope of this role includes an overall learning and development strategy that ultimately makes the training program a competitive advantage for the site by using technology and change management to optimize training in terms of quality, compliance, and cost/speed.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…

  • Develop in partnership with aligned Learning & Development Business Partners the required site Learning & Development strategy that clearly defines capability priorities aligned to the business agenda.

  • Ensure regulatory requirements for training program management are effectively implemented at the site (Site Compliance Training Process Owner SCTPO). Oversee effective recording of all training to agreed site processes and standards i.e. Global Quality Manufacturing Practices (GQMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Evaluate effectiveness of programs, workshops, and materials. Perform end-to-end quality checks on learning materials/content, to ensure accuracy and alignment with company compliance standards. Oversee the appropriate use of the Learning Management System (LMS) at site.

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve Curricula and Training Content in collaboration with Line Management for all departments at site, including learning needs assessments to clearly understand and define the capability gaps utilizing diagnostic processes such as GEMBA, role analysis, focus groups, interviews, etc.

  • Set standards including expectations for creating, managing and executing training at site(s), including the support of departmental needs for defining the most effective learning mix for the agreed target audience, applying the 70/20/10 principles and good instructional design within each learning project.

  • Select or develop learning solutions utilizing appropriate methodologies from instructor led to self-directed learning which may include one or more of the following: content curation, lesson plans for classroom training and virtual training delivery, computer-based training including rapid design, reference materials, job aids, etc.

  • Develop, deliver, maintain and continuously improve assessment based programs such as PIQ, Gowning, Aseptic Technique, LOTO, and others requiring technical skill to demonstrate proficiency.

  • Support the delivery/ facilitation of learning & development interventions where appropriate.

  • Ensure the effective delivery & deployment of enterprise/business unit wide solutions and offerings i.e. leadership, business skills curricula within area of responsibility.

  • Lead a team including trainers, instructional designers and LMS coordinators. Own the Site Learning Zone used to support execution of training inclusive of new hire onboarding and general employee training.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • B.S./B.A. degree

  • 7 years in a cGMP environment with experience in Training including design, development and delivery

  • 2 years of direct leadership experience such as end to end learning process including conducting learning needs assessment, program design & delivery, and learning evaluation & assessment

  • OR 10 years of GMP environment with experience in Training including design, development with at least 5 years of direct leadership experience in leu of education

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Demonstrated, end-to-end project/program management experience: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements including GMP and compliance training where required. Train the trainer certification would be beneficial such as adult learning or adult education

  • Strong public speaking ability

  • Experience utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS)

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office and ability to produce high-quality deliverables using the appropriate digital tools

  • Proven ability to interpret customer needs and translate these into a coherent programs for work

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
