Position Summary:
WorkFit Staffing, a division of WorkFit Medical, LLC is seeking LPN's for per-diem assignments in Nursing Homes located in the Catskills, NY. Most shifts are offered Thurs-Sundays: we are looking for weekend coverage along with a couple shifts a week, totaling 3-4 shifts most weeks. 

Job Type: Per-Diem.

Pay Rate: up to $29 per hour.

As a licensed practical nurse you can be expected to carry out a multitude of responsibilities with regards to daily patient care under the direction of the charge nurse. We have compiled a list of responsibilities you may be tasked with during performance of your shift.

• Admitting new residents
• Assigning and delegating duties to non-licensed nursing staff
• Monitoring resident care and supervising other nursing staff
• Performing ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and mental health
• Explaining procedures and treatment protocols to residents
• Planning and managing patient care according to each patient’s needs
• Interviewing patients and recording their medical history
• Obtaining patient vital signs and escorting patients to their rooms
• Administering injections of medications
• Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
• Observing and recording patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments

Required Education:

• Accredited New York State Licensed Professional Nurse Certification
• One year of LPN experience in the healthcare field -LTC preferred 
• High School Graduate or Equivalent
