Job Summary
The Associate Director of Diversity Education shall work on the creation, centralization, and sustained delivery of training and education programs, focused on issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice in alignment with college-wide Inclusive Excellence goals and objectives as set forth by the Office of Justice, Equity, Belonging, and Identity (JEBI). This position is designed to work with various divisions and departments (e.g. Student Development, Academic Affairs, Athletics, Human Resources, etc.) with a scope that extends throughout the College and requires innovation and autonomy. The position will develop a slate of educational and training programs on JEBI topics to strengthen and enhance the overall cultural humility of faculty, staff, and students and to assist in creating a campus culture of mutual respect and civility. Data from surveys and reports (e.g. climate surveys, etc.) will be utilized in the development of aforementioned educational and training programs. The Associate Director will report to the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Faculty and Staff and will work closely with the Director of Student Inclusion & Belonging. Major Areas of Responsibility
Assessment and Research
Research campus, local, national, and global issues that can inform relevance of training content and make recommendations for revisions to training content
Maintain an internal database to track specialized training programs, presentations, or events
Administer and review evaluations and assessment outcomes of training and programming, and present to stakeholders on the impact on a yearly basisOutreach, Marketing and Response
Meet with departmental, divisional or college partners to determine programming needs in the area of diversity education
Participate in campus-wide initiatives and collaborations with key campus stakeholders to help foster collaboration, including committees and working groups assigned by the Director
Collaborate with colleagues in JEBI to support co-curricular programming across the College
Assist in responding to time-sensitive campus issues that require community-wide processing of bias incidents
Be a visible and recognizable presence on campus by attending events sponsored by cultural organizationsProgram Development & Evaluation
Utilize campus assessment data to identify professional or organizational needs that can be addressed through educational experiences, classes, or programs
Collaborate with the Director as needed to:
Design and implement regular assessments and surveys for the purpose of structuring both class content development and education design
Design and implement evaluation instruments and strategies for programs
Revise programs that co-facilitate annually
Serve as a resource for university members by offering expertise, advice, technical knowledge, and examples regarding program development
Based on the above responsibilities, design stand-alone diversity courses or sequential course material related to relevant diversity topicsProgram Implementation & Delivery
Provide administrative and creative support to JEBI
Deliver content virtually with an engaging presence
Teach professional development courses as either integrated courses or stand-alone presentations. This includes but is not limited to:
JEBI Certificate programs for faculty, staff
Bias and Unconscious Bias Education for search committees, tenure and promotion committees, awards committees, etc.
Inclusive Leadership Education for Holy Cross Divisions, as needed
Teach ad hoc professional development programs/experiences as requested
Provide instructional group interventions for faculty, staff, and departments when requested
Support the planning of special events hosted by the JEBI office
Support the planning of student-focused programs that comes from our office that have a specific focus on the development, affirmation, and support of racially/ethnically marginalized students (i.e. Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander/Desi, Indigenous/Native American), LGBTQIA students, and first-generation studentsAdministrative Responsibilities
Maintain positive relations with campus constituencies
Institute administrative procedures
Work with others in JEBI to contribute to a culture of teamwork and collaboration
Refer students, faculty, and staff to campus supports such as Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), Office of Title IX and Equal Opportunity, Student Case Manager, etc. when necessary
Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree
Minimum of three (3) years related experience, which includes a minimum of one (1) year experience of being the lead developer for cultural humility, social justice, or diversity-related training
Ability to organize and manage time effectively
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google platform.
Ability to manipulate data in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets through sorting and filtering functions is highly preferred
Proficient in Zoom and applicable features (i.e. meetings, webinars, phone, team chat, and channels) Core Competencies

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This is a full time, exempt level position with a salary range of $69,000-$71,000. The College is committed to providing competitive market pay for its employees. The College also offers a competitive benefits package for full-time staff, including:
10% College contribution to the 403(b) Retirement Plan (1 year wait waiver available)
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement
