About Foundation for Women Warriors:

Since 1920, FFWW programs have prevented homelessness and enhanced the economic wellbeing of women veterans and their families. We provide real solutions and create innovative partnerships to address the following top four needs identified by women veterans: housing, employment, education, and childcare. Our programs help women veterans remain in/obtain safe and affordable housing which help them to work, care for their children and attend school, all of which enhance family stability. Our team works tirelessly to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve. 

Position Overview:

The Marketing Associate plays a pivotal role in advancing FFWW mission by developing and implementing effective marketing strategies. This individual will be responsible for creating and executing comprehensive marketing plans to raise awareness, engage stakeholders, and drive support for Foundation for Women Warriors. The ideal candidate is creative, data driven, and has proven experience creating engaging content informed by data. Candidates must reside in San Diego County or DMV areas.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Content Creation & Editing

• Assists with design and implements an annual marketing strategy aligned with organizational goals. 
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and PR team to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels. 
• Generates compelling and impactful content for various platforms, including Meta, LinkedIn, and digital newsletters. 
• Designs digital and print ads as well as merchandise advertising materials.
• Works closely with across departments to highlight success stories and impact. 
• Oversees the external creation of co-marketing collateral, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines. 
• Highly skilled in editing messages based on audience and platform.

2) Brand Management

• Safeguards and enhances FFWW’s brand by maintaining consistency in messaging, design, and tone. 
• Manages FFWW online presence, including website content, ad campaigns, social media channels, and email campaigns. 
• Implements SEO and ad campaign strategies to optimize online visibility and reach. 
• Monitors and analyzes the performance of marketing campaigns using relevant analytics, data, and metrics across google, and various platforms. 
• Provides regular reports to leadership, offering insights on analytics, AB testing, campaign performance, and recommendations for improvement. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. 
• Self-starter with a commitment to excellence and strong attention to detail. 
• Proven project management experience in marketing, with a track record of successful campaigns.
• Strong understanding and natural curiosity in digital marketing, social media, and content creation. Uses data to drive process improvement. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. 
• Passion for and understanding veteran community.
