The Associate Content Engineer is responsible for taking business requirements that are provided by the business analyst to author and validate compliance content for Expere IE. Expere® is a centralized compliance document system that seamlessly serves multiple lines of business and channels, providing a complete set of tools for creating, managing, integrating, testing and deploying documents. The Associate Content Engineer is responsible for authoring product technical rules, XML outlines, and static layout design for dynamic and static content per the business logic and requirements provided. This position offers a remote, work from home schedule. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Designs content outline using XML authoring software per the design requirements given and following outlined standards. Creates product technical rules using provided schema and business logic that aligns with requirements and expected user experience. Creates unit tests to validate that forms assemble per requirements. Runs both manual and automated test plans to find bugs/defects in new and updated content. Conducts risk-based analysis in order to prioritize test case development. Authors and tests forms so that data collection is possible using an in-house application (DocViewer), including schema suppression order. Works closely with business analysts, compliance analysts, and content architects to gather and clarify requirements as needed. Maintains a working knowledge of layout, design, and manipulation of text and graphics using designated software packages currently being used at Wolters Kluwer. Follows an electronic workflow process. Designs, creates, and executes tests to ensure product quality of all content features including auto selection, image layout, instancing, and individual field output. Documents revisions made to deliverables, validates release notes are accurate, and updates release documentation. Maintains a general knowledge of version control in Visual Studio (check in/out, rollback, etc.). Develops a working knowledge of the products and lines of business supported by the Compliance Center of Excellence (CCOE). OTHER DUTIES: Accurately logs time to capture labor data. Consistently meets the overall job expectations. Retrieves, saves, updates, and manipulates computerized files. Upholds regular attendance. Performs other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma. Bachelor’s degree in BCIS, MIS, Computer Sciences or related degree, or equivalent job experience is a plus. Experience: 2-4 years of experience in content development or quality assurance. Strong knowledge of Windows-based PCs. Fluency in the English language. Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: Demonstrated knowledge of professional software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, and test suite development and maintenance. Working knowledge of basic software concepts and designated software packages currently being used by Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Skilled in the use of Altova XMLSpy or similar software. Maintains a general knowledge of Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC) and related basic operations and concepts (check in/out, rollback, etc.). Experience in the banking/financial services industry preferred; knowledge of banking and mortgage documents helpful.
