We're seeking an outgoing and hospitable Outdoor Host to join our dining team at a vibrant location. Your warm demeanor will be essential in creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests.
As an Outdoor Host, you will welcome and seat guests with a friendly and hospitable attitude, ensuring a positive first impression. Coordinate and manage table turnover and guest satisfaction. Contribute to creating an inviting outdoor dining ambiance, enhancing the overall guest experience.

You will be working your magic on a full-time seasonal basis from mid May to October. Your schedule will be 4 to 5 days a week and hours will be 11 a.m. to close. Weekends, nights, and holidays are a must.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests to the venue
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
• Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress's name
• Greet customers upon their departure
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention
• Answer incoming calls and address customers' queries
• Assist wait staff as needed

Requirements:

• Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Demonstrable customer-service skills
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
• Availability to work in shifts as needed
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
• High school diploma; hospitality certification is a plus

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of standing and working at the host stand.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours, including weekends and holidays.

Required Education and Experience

• No specific education required.
• 2 years of hotel experience or similar office experience.

Performance Measurement:
90 Day performance review, annual performance review, attendance, productivity, feedback from others, Guest Response scores, etc.
