Long-Lewis Automotive Group is Hiring an O&A- Facilities Maintenance Tech - Full Time Near Florence, AL

We're hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance of our automotive dealership facilities and other properties. In this role, you'll be responsible for electrical maintenance on 3-phase 208 Volt systems, basic HVAC troubleshooting, plumbing, light carpentry, painting, and grounds work. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-starting, and possess a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical maintenance on 3-phase 208 Volt systems, including air compressors, car lifts, and basic HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Conduct plumbing maintenance on general facilities plumbing and automated carwash systems.
  • Perform light carpentry and painting tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics.
  • Complete grounds work, including painting, light bulb replacement, and asphalt sealing.
  • Operate aerial lifts up to 60 feet and scissor lifts up to 25 feet for routine maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in basic skills testing and panel interviews as part of the candidate selection process.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to facility maintenance, identifying and addressing issues before they become significant problems.
Skills Preferred:
  • Previous experience in automotive dealership facilities maintenance or similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and painting techniques.
  • Ability to operate aerial lifts and scissor lifts safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and functionality in facilities.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
