What You'll Do

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator, who will be responsible for facilitating the human resources processes at Wilson’s distribution centers in Nashville and Mt. Juliet, TN.  

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the recruitment and interview process for hourly associates and temporary employees at the Mt. Juliet location; acts as the main point of contact for temporary staffing agencies.
  • Assists with all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including the pre-employment processes, new hire orientations, locker assignments, door reader access, benefits enrollment, terminations, exit interviews, employee purchase program, policy administration, employee engagement initiatives, etc.
  • Prepares weekly attendance reports and creates attendance memos for Mt. Juliet and Nashville team members. Assists managers and team members with time and attendance information in Kronos, ADP, or using the timeclocks.
  • Enters and maintains employee information in HRIS systems and in employee files. May assist with auditing to ensure integrity of HRIS systems.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering requests and questions from team members and managers.
  • Assists the HR Manager in administering workers’ compensation program.
  • Supports the coordination and administration of company-wide initiatives and HR projects.
  • Primary contact for various vendors, including office supplies, vending machines, and printers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related area. Prior hands-on experience with HR/payroll systems like Workday, ADP, and Kronos is strongly preferred. This position is based at our Mt. Juliet Distribution Center, and requires some travel by automobile between locations as needed.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to express ideas, problems, and solutions with clarity.
  • Exercises good judgment, demonstrates solid problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build trust with employees; builds relationships throughout the organization at all levels.
  • Articulates the appropriate responses to employee questions and issues using empathy and credibility; Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately escalate sensitive issues while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of state/federal/local employment law and regulations.
  • Organized, strong attention to details, understands the importance of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; demonstrated technical aptitude to learn other computer programs and systems
