As an Environmental Specialist supporting the Williams Audit Program, your days are filled with variety and purpose. You'll prioritize tasks each day, balancing the coordination of environmental compliance audits at multiple facilities with ongoing incident investigations. You'll work closely with internal and external partners, analyzing audit findings and incident data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. This analysis directly shapes our environmental practices, influencing updates to procedures, training, and even our internal systems. Your expertise in environmental regulations will be essential, making you the go-to resource for complex questions and innovative solutions. You'll play a key role in supporting due diligence efforts for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition for newly acquired assets. Responsibilities/Expectations: Develops, maintains, improves and provides guidance on environmental processes/policies Assesses environmental risk, provides recommendations to address risk and participates in or runs the approved course of action, including required regulatory documentation Coordinates regular environmental planning, scheduling and cost estimating, including preparation of environmental impact assessments Provides guidance and mentorship to others and is involved in industry associations and environmental communities Leads projects or programs with significant risk and complexity to achieve objectives; develops the strategy for project execution and handles resource requirements Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Environmental Specialist IV Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum eight (8) years’ environmental experience Environmental Specialist V Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum fifteen (15) years of multifaceted environmental experience Preferred: Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in environmental soil and groundwater assessment and remediation at CERCLA (Superfund) and RCRA sites Other Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills #LI-GC1 #LI-Hybrid About Tulsa: Our corporate headquarters is located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, the 2nd largest city in Oklahoma and the 47th most populous in the U.S. Tulsa is known as the Mother of "The Mother Road" - Route 66, and boasts impressive art deco architecture, the #1 city park in the U.S. (The Gathering Place) and is a great venue for live music.
