Support the Chemical Engineering Department in business acquisition, organization, safety, operations, maintenance, and project management.

• Assist projects with technical task such as feedstock preparation, cleaning, minor installation of equipment, tubing, insulation, etc.
• Monitor chemical processes to collect data and samples. Monitor chemical processes (assist with operations).
• Project equipment inventory maintenance. Assist with project buildups (install tubing, etc.).
• Lab organization throughout the department.
• Assist department with package distribution, inventory and cleaning.

• Daily updates for package tracking, inventory tracking of equipment/parts, inspect work areas and help keep them well organized and clean.
• Waste disposal, sample distribution (log-in and deliver to locations throughout SwRI).
• Work with project and department staff to collect information on project required items (balances, instruments, etc.).
• Review and approve project notebooks (ELNs). Conduct and report lab inspections. Review proposals and reports for formatting and consistency throughout department. Expense reports, non labor transfers, etc.
• Maintain project records (safety training, quality assurance, etc.).

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years: Related work experience.
• Desire to learn department processes.
• Must be able to follow all safety training and requirements.
• A valid/clear driver's license is required.

Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.
